Lisa A. James is an organizational development consultant, executive coach, and learning and development specialist, with a focus on human behaviour and transformative change. She brings a unique tapestry of experience, knowledge, skills and passion to her work. A dynamic facilitator, known for her engaging, energetic style, she seamlessly infuses a global perspective with a Caribbean aesthetic, and in particular, the joie de vivre characteristic of her Trinidad & Tobago heritage. In the process, she has managed to create a unique brand that embodies the essence of ‘Lisa James’. For over 30 years, her career has been dedicated to human resource management and development with a particular emphasis on leadership development. She has worked within a diverse range of sectors, including the private and public sectors, civil society and academia.

As a Consultant, she provides sound professional advice and engages her clientele in co-creating highly customized, needs-driven interventions, geared towards driving performance change and organizational results. A committed regionalist, she has worked extensively throughout the Caribbean, in support of her passion for sustainable economic and social development for the region and its people. She holds a MSc. degree in Organizational Management & Leadership, and has had extensive training and certification in Facilitation, Coaching, Action Learning and the MBTI. Among her other areas of core competency for which she is highly regarded, include: change management, team building, strategic planning and developing learning and development professionals. Her current passion involves spreading the philosophy and methodology of action learning in transforming the Caribbean.

She applies her business acumen as an entrepreneur, serving as a Co-Owner and Director for a highly successful family owned business, operating in Trinidad & Tobago.
